Life Infusion by Nutreviva™ is a delicious nutritious natural herbal tea packed full of flavour, goodness and wonderful benefits. Please note that our tea is not simply flavoured tea. We sell it for it's remarkable health and wellbeing properties
White Oak, aka Quercus alba, is a long living impressive tree native to North America. It has many uses, as most wood does, but it's the bark of the tree that has been used for hundreds of years by native Americans for it's many beneficial and herbal properties.
White Oak bark is a natural source of antioxidants and contains a variety of nutrients from Vitamin B12 and Iron to potassium and tannins.
It is believed that these tannins are it's main reason for it's health boosting properties. Tannins work well as antiseptics, anti-inflammatories and as astringents.
White Oak tea can be used for many applications. The tea can be boiled and cooled to form an ointment, that when applied to the skin can fight bacteria and may help alleviate bleeding, varicose veins and other skin conditions like eczema, cuts and burns. This was common use for native Americans.
With it's wonderful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits, it is a great treatment for the skin when applied externally or even used for oral health as a mouth wash.
As a bathtub ointment, it can be used as an alternative to bath salts and bath remedies soaking the skin as you bath.
It can help these issues internally as well, when drank as a tea.
White Oak is great for liver, kidney and bladder health, helping with diarrhea and kidney and gall stones.
As a diuretic, white oak bark tea assists with flushing the body of unwanted pathogens and bacteria.
Many individuals drink White oak bark tea as a cold, flu and cough remedy.
